Przed rozpoczęciem kariery akademickiej był instruktorem w School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts w Seattle oraz demonstratorem w Pike Place Market Magic Shop. Posiada czarny pas karate stylu Shotokan oraz certyfikat Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Combatives. Jest autorem monografii "Alternate Reality-Based Self-Defense" oraz twórcą edukacyjnego cyklu internetowego "The Art of the Apocalypse: From A.I. to Zombie.

Dr. Scotty Tiger McQueen is a lecturer in the American Studies Center at the University of Warsaw. He holds PhDs in Digital Media Studies (with Cultural Studies) from Trinity College Dublin as well as in Performance Studies (with Applied Psychology) from University College Cork. Dr. McQueen is a former instructor at Seattle’s School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts, a former demonstrator at the historic Pike Place Market Magic Shop, a black belt in Shotokan karate, and combatives certified in Gracie jiu-jitsu. He is the author of "Alternate Reality-Based Self-Defense" and the creator of the educational web series "The Art of the Apocalypse: From A.I. to Zombie
